Daniel Tomlinson creates stylish bespoke furniture to order

Wood, veneers, and fittings are carefully chosen to provide unique designs for beautiful and useful pieces of furniture that will suit your setting, delight your senses, and last a lifetime.

English walnut is one of the finest woods for furniture making, even for small chests like this one.

I get a wonderfully sharp, clean edge by sharpening my tools on an extra-fine diamond stone. The more control I have, the more beautiful the furniture I make.

Pairing across the grain gives me much more control of the chisel to create a flat surface to mount a butt hinge. I cut notches to help the waste wood to crumble away more easily.

English walnut has an irregular grain and a straight texture making it ideal for cabinetmaking.

The symmetry of a pair or beautifully matched console tables can add an extra dimension to any setting.

For a striking alternative to fitted kitchen units I created these free-standing storage units with attractive veneer patterns.

This bespoke office desk makes an attractive style statement with its sinuous curves. It includes a convenient cabinet for emergency supplies.

The drama of these matching tables is achieved by carefully continuing the highly contrasting veneer pattern across all the faces.

This stylish contemporary table is made with reclaimed oak wood planks.

These built-in shelves and cupboards in smart ash wood make good use of the space and provide plenty of storage.

No project is too big. This impressive screen is made from walnut and poplar burr.
